With few exceptions, we have had good dealings and fair treatment from these companies. TextBookLink.com is one of the exceptions.

We were recently authorized to send 9 copies of a brand new Managerial Accounting book that TextbookLink wanted. We shipped those books out in Buyback #TBL-100-100042351. About 10 days later, we received an email from this company (also known as WeBuyTextbooks.com) stating the following: "I'm very sorry, in accordance with our policies, since we are not buying this book, we have discarded or donated the item. Please know that books cannot be returned due to the volume of buyback orders we receive and the charges incurred."

The wholesale value of the books was agreed to be $615.33. According to the company's own bookkeeping, we received nothing for the books. Attempts to contact the company, asking for an explanation were not answered.

At worst, this is theft, pure and simple. At best, this is gross stupidity of a dept. head who doesn't care about customer relations. The way I understand it, Textbooklink or WeBuyTextbook have a user policy that makes it optional to pay you for the books. Use these companies at your own risk.

I sell at multiple vendors on a daily basis, and textbooklink.com has not rejected any books as of yet, VERY quick payment (typically about 10 days out from me sending off the books), I would rate them 5 stars, but they need to offer UPS shipping....USPS is always a risk when it comes to media mail. No issues here....great service, safe vendor to use.

I suspect if I had selected Paypal I would've received the payment faster. The shipping label was from USPS Media Mail. No tracking # was with the shipping label, so you'll have to get a delivery confirmation if you wanted the tracking ref.
