Update on my buyback status below (the one that says Feb 2012). I would give 0 stars if I could. I sent in books in perfect condition and collegebookrenter revised my payment to 20% of their quoted price. When I called to inquire about it they told me that it was missing supplementary materials, though nowhere does it say they are necessary on their site. I even chatted with a customer representative before submitting my buyback who informed me that they were not needed. I read through the collegebookrenter buyback policy, which states that "The inspection will be based on the item condition criteria that are listed on the "Sell Textbooks" portion of our site." For my particular item, there is/was no item criteria listed on the book page. I am currently fighting with them to pay me my quoted value. They also informed me that they cannot send the books back to me, despite my offer to pay for shipping. Overall a terrible experience so far- I will post if they end up paying me. If not I will be filing a dispute with the BBB and/or speaking with a lawyer if my other buyback has problems. Stay away |
